ORDER A PORTRAIT OF YOUR PET IN JUST A FEW MINUTES
It’s very simple:
– Choose a portrait style from the collections. Send us a photo (or photos) of your pet and specify the chosen style.
– A few days later, you will receive a portrait proof—along with a price quote—for your approval or to request modifications.
– Once the portrait is approved and payment is made, you will receive a ZIP file via email containing various high-definition digital formats, ready to be printed on the medium of your choice.

1 – Make your choice
- Browse the collections and select the portrait style(s) that best suit your preferences, your pet’s personality, and your home décor.
- Choose your pet’s best photos: the head and chest area should be clearly visible and well-lit (preferably in natural light). The photos must be of sufficient resolution to ensure a high-quality portrait. Feel free to submit 2 or 3 photos. You can find more tips at the bottom of this page.
- Submit your order, including your photos, via the contact form. No payment—such as a deposit or upfront fee—is required at this stage.
2 – Receive my portrait proposal
- As soon as I receive your order, I begin creating the portrait.
- We may need to discuss the details (via email or phone) so I can offer advice; I value open communication to ensure the portrait turns out successfully and to your liking.
- You will receive my portrait proposal and a price quote within approximately eight days.
3 – Validate the portrait proposal and pay for your purchase
- Once you receive my portrait proposal, you can request adjustments to certain details (such as colors, brightness, or corrections to the head or attire).
- If everything meets your approval, please complete your payment via credit card, PayPal, or bank transfer.
- After payment is processed, you will receive your invoice by email, along with a ZIP file containing the print-ready portrait in various high-definition formats (please see the Welcome page for details).
4 – Print your portrait
- The various formats included in the ZIP file allow you to have your portrait printed at the lab of your choice, in the size and on the medium you prefer (find more ideas on the Welcome page).
- STARANIMAL is here to assist with your printing needs—from choosing a provider to finding the best balance of price and quality—so let us guide you!
What format to choose ?

- It all depends on the volume of the room, your taste and your budget :
- Favor small formats in smaller rooms (small entrance, hallway, hallway, etc.) and choose larger formats (50×70 cm or 60×80 cm for example) for living rooms (living room, dining room, bedroom, etc.) where you will have a little perspective to admire the work.
- If the portrait is hung above a cabinet, sofa or bed, large dimensions are also better suited because you cannot get up close to admire the work. A medium or large format will give a greater “presence” to the work.
- Also think about the frame that you will choose and whose dimensions must be taken into account in the general size.
As an example, here is a diagram of standard dimensions (other formats are available on request).
How to take beautiful photos of your pet ?

The quality of your photos impacts the quality of the final portrait.
- Check the settings of your smartphone or digital camera by opting for the maximum resolution.
- Think about your position when taking the photo: your companion must be facing you, the camera at the same level as you (do not be standing and your animal sitting on the ground).
- Create your frames so that your animal’s head is clearly visible. The photo taken from not too close, not too far away and make sure that not a piece of her ear or her bust is missing!
- For light, choose outdoor photos with good natural light which will highlight the color of his coat.
- The decor in the photo does not matter as long as your companion’s head is whole and clearly visible (not blurry).
- Take several photos: front, sideways and 3/4. Depending on the portrait chosen, the position of the head will be different.

STARANIMAL portraits are sold in high-definition digital format, without printing or framing.
